The vinegar company St Martinus was founded in 1904 and has celebrated his centenary in 2004. As from 1904 untill 1992 St Martinus has always been a family company.

   
In 1993 St Martinus became a subsidiary company of De Burg Group Holland.

In 1998 St Martinus built a complete new factory adjusted to modern times.

   

During this period St Martinus stopped to produce vinegar by the old fashion way and replaced the for that time used generators by the latest technology, the acetators.
  

Due to this modern technology, St Martinus can actually offer you natural spirit vinegar with acidity from 5 % till 20 %. More vinegar and less water are the key words.

Besides the new facilities to produce vinegar, St Martinus completely renew his bottling-line - as for PET bottles and glass bottles – to achieve higher productivity.

As from this moment on St Martinus started also to blow his own PET bottles which has lead to a price profit according to our competitors.

 

Due to this efforts in development and innovation – even today we continue –

    St Martinus has become the largest vinegar company in Belgium with a take-off of 25.000.000 liters a year.

Thanks to the fact that Sint Martinus bought vinegar company L'Etoile - in 2007 - we were able to expend our activities on the assortment special vinegars.

The extension of our assortment high quality wine- and special vinegars was warmly welcomed on the Belgian market.

 

Talking about vinegar is thinking "  St Martinus ".
Vinegar is the equivalent for "  St Martinus ".
